  Welcome to Peer Coaching for Adolescent Writers, a companion course where educators learn to empower students in their independent and collaborative writing effort.  Through this method, young and adolescent writers set goals, make adjustments to their own writing and to the writing of their peers while learning to listen and communicate in a 21^st century world of reading, writing, listening and speaking.  And you are about to learn how to teach them the important skills of communication, goal-setting, and problem-solving.  **This course requires a book purchase, and will be available with the the release of Peer Coaching for Adolescent Writers on November 11, 2009 - come back at this time and enroll!

Upcoming Conferences and Events:  Join us at the National Council of Teachers of English CEL event (Conference on English Leadership) in Philadelphia, PA on November 23rd.  Susan will lead a round-table discussion on the student peer coaching method from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. at the Philadelphia Marriott. November 30 the Butterfield Library in Cold Spring, NY will host a teacher workshop and book signing for the Haldane School District.  Susan has been providing after-school peer coaching workshops for students in grades 3 - 12 for the second year.  Now teachers can learn what all the buzz is about!
